Edit an existing workorder

Cimpl's Workorder Center is where you manage your organization's workorders. You can edit the workorders directly from the center.

Note: You can edit the fields in a workorder record as long as the order has not yet been completed, canceled, or put on hold.

  1. Open the workorder entry. The Summary pane opens.
  2. Review the information in the Summary pane. The information consists of the following details:
    • Workorder Number
    • Provider Contact
    • Subject
    • SLA Date
    • Due Date
    • Urgent (i.e. urgency of workorder)
    • Reference Number
    • Status
    • Comment
    • History
    • Workorder Owner
    • Requester
    • Additional Information
    • Notes
    • Main Shipping Address
    • Installation Schedule Information
    • Billing Reconciliation

      Note: When you add an Expected 1st Invoice Period date under Billing Reconciliation, the date is used in the Reconciliation Tracker. Enter a date to track invoice charges and make sure providers are invoicing and completing workorders as expected.

  3. Make changes as needed.
  4. Click Apply to save the change to the workorder’s summary information.
  5. Click the Details tab. The workorder’s Service ID and Action Type is displayed:
    • Service ID
    • Account and Contract
    • Start Date
    • SIM
    • MRC and NRC

      Note: If you enter a price of 0, a pop-up opens to confirm. Click Yes to enter the price as 0.

    • Additional Attributes
    • Actions (details of the workorder itself).

  6. Add Action details to the workorder, click on the + icon under the Actions block.
  7. You can remove workorder items by clicking on the x icon on the right-hand side of the action in the entry list.Cimpl will remove it from the workorder.
  8. Click Apply. Your edits are saved.
